Das B. quartet involves prominent musicians from the contemporary experimental scene — trumpeter Mazen Kerbaj, drummer Tony Buck, pianist Magda Mayas and double bass player Mike Majkowski. It was founded in 2015 in Berlin. The «Canopy» album was recorded live two years later at the Nickelsdorf's Konfrontationen festival in Austria. The record consists of the full 35-minute set and the encore.
